This work was conducted in order to develop a software to help the elaboration of projects and the evaluation of goats farms. Caprilan was developed in spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel 5.0). It permits the calculation of herds evolution and composition, and the evaluation of the productive, reproductive ans economical performance on profitability of the investment. Caprilan was used in order to make a sensibility analysis, making easier the evaluation of the risk and the impact of variation of internal and external factors on profitability of the investment. The studied factors were fertility, herd size, voluntary culling rate and milk production level (internal factors), and interest rate, goat milk price, animal price, hay price and concentrate price (external factors). The evaluated parameters were Internal Rate of Retorn. Simple Pay Black Period, Economical Pay Back Period, Benefit-Cost Ratio and Net Present Value. It was possible to conclude that all analysed had impact on investment profit. |
