In two farms regular anthelmintic treatment of parasitized lambs were made. The first farm was free of Moniezia spp. at the beginning of the treatment, and an increase in the daily weight gain of + 29g (+ 20%) compared with a control group was noticed. The lambs on the second farm were already infested with Moniezia spp. at the beginning of the treatment and compare with the control group there were no differences in the daily weight gain. The results are discussed. |
