PC-file+ version 2.0 can be used to collect, compile and print feeder callf sale data in a flexible format. Four PC-file+ databases were created to collect consignor, buyer, pen/lot and calf information. The benefits of using PC-file+ to create sale sheets, buyer and consignor summaries include ease of use, low sofrware cost, flexibility of entry screen format and reoort structure and calculation capabilities. Using PC-file+ to manage feeder calf sale data has helped shorten the time for the feeder calf sales from two days to one day; this has incriased the welfare and value if the calves by decreasing their stay in the barn. |
