[Variation of branches of the aortic arch in an ovine of the ideal breed: case report].
Abstract: This paper describes a variation on the origin of the aortic arch branches in an ovine of the Ideal breed, obtained from the ?Setor de Ovinocultura da Faculdade de Ciências Agrárias e Veterinárias de Jaboticabal, SP ? Unesp? and submitted to the Anatomy Laboratory at the same institution. Latex (Neoprene 650® ? Du Pont S.A.) colored by liquid ink (Sulvinil® - Glasurit do Brasil Ltda) was injected in the aortic arch, and the animal was set in a 10% formalin solution for further dissection. After opening the thoracic cavity, the origin of the left subclavian artery was observed directly from the aortic arch, left-sided to the bicaroticus trunk that gave off the left and right common carotid arteries, besides the right subclavian artery, which was originated in the initial portion of the right common artery. |
