Recent developments in taste sensors have shown that extremely high sensivity can be achieved if the sensing units are made up with nanostructured organic films deposited onto interdigitated electrodes, and the principle of detection is impedance spectroscopy.
Since the performance of sensing units is governerd by surface forces, measurements of interactions between surfaces bearing polyelectrolyte layers can provide a useful insight into the mechanisms responsible for detection of trace amounts of pollutants in waters. |
