To investigate the inheritance of soybeans to four local strains of Soybean Mosaic Virus, Sa, Sc, Sg, and Sh, in Jiangsu, China, a number of susceptible x resistant and resistant x resistant crosses were made among 13 varieties in wich 9 were previously identified to be resistant to one to four strains, and the F2 plants, F3 families, and some of testcross plants were used in observation of segregation ratios. The results indicated that the resistance to each of the four strains was conditioned by a separate dominant gene A, C, G, and H, respectively. All the four loci were in a same linkage group with the order of G-H-A-C. The recombination values between G and H, H and A, and A and C were estimated to be 24.9-28.2%, 23,5%, and 12.8-26.1%, respectively. The four loci were independent of T and W1, and probably Ln; therefore, the linkage group of the resistance loci was independent of linkage group 1 and 8 and probably 4. |
