With an objective of finding out the possible linkage relationship between Bphl and one of the identified marker characters of the known linkage group, three different experiments were conducted at the Agriculture Experiment Farm, College of Agriculture, Seoul National University, Suweon, during 1979 to 1981. Part of the experiment was conducted in the laboratory of Biology, Department of Biology. Experiment I was conducted to analyze the linkage relationship between Bphl and nine different marker characters from seven different linkage groups by inoculated and non-inoculated methods on the hypothesis that marker genes would segregate independently of the Bphl gene if there would be no linkage relationship between Bphl and other marker character. Experiment IIwas conducted to varify the segregation difference between Bphl and i-Bf marker character segregation ratios for the F3 analysis.
