The paper describes an industrial anaerobic fermentation process, whereby cellulosic and other industrial agricultural wastes are rapidly converted to two products: bio-gas, used as a fuel, and bio-manure, the fermented mass, used as a fermented as a fertilizer. Many of the products of the sugar industry, such as bagasse, cane trash, press mud, distillery sludge, etc., have been productively utilized by this semi-wet fermentatio technique. |
