A longitudinal study of body and fat tail growth and feed efficiency was conducted using Karfkul ram lambs with and without treatment with the alpha2-adrenic agonist clonidine. Clonidine has been shown to reduce dressing percent and Kidney fat percentage of carcass weight in lambs and to increase and decrease lamb serum insulin and growth hormone, respectively. |
