Products made from piperine are important for the management of pests, but allelopathic studies for these products are also relevant. The aims of the study were: First, to evaluate the effect of piperine on Spodoptera frugipera and Diatraea saccharalis and as second objective, to evaluate the allelopathic and phytotoxicity effects of this compound in the germination and growth of several vegetables. The piperine was applied on eggs laid by both lepidopteran species and on sand used as a substrate for the seeds plants. The hatching in recently laid eggs of S. frugiperda and D. saccharalis with piperine was lower than older eggs. Allium cepa presented a higher percentage of germination at 0.5 and at 5.0 mg/Kg and Lactuca sativa the lowest. The highest length of seedling was for the A. cepa. O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar variações no estoque de carbono orgânico de um Latossolo Vermelho sob sistema de integração lavoura-pecuária e pastagem contínua comparados à área de Cerrado nativo. O estudo foi realizado na área experimental da Embrapa Milho e Sorgo, Sete Lagoas, MG. Os tratamentos consistiram de quatro sistemas de produção com rotação de culturas de soja e milho grãos, sorgo silagem e pastagem de capim Tanzânia; área de pastagem contínua e Cerrado nativo. As mostras de solo foram coletadas em janeiro de 2009 nas profundidades de 0-10, 10-20 e 20-40 cm. Houve diferença significativa na variação do estoque de carbono dos sistemas avaliados em relação ao Cerrado nativo. De forma geral, para as profundidades de 0-10 e 20-40 cm os sistemas estão desempenhando um papel de emissores de C-CO2, quando comparados com o Cerrado nativo. Na profundidade de 10-20 cm houve um aumento do estoque de carbono do solo para todos os tratamentos comparativamente ao Cerrado nativo. |
