Zeyheria tuberculosa (Vell.) Bur. (Ipe Felpudo) is a endemic species of Brazil with high silvicultural potential in tropical conditions. Actually this species is in process of extinction due antropic pressure. The hypothesis of differential development among provenances was tested. Also the hypothesis os shading influence on volumetric development was tested in this species. The SERRA proveance was the best adapted to this site, with the greatest volumetric development (0.043 m3/tree) and the greatest percentage of trees with flowering (43.6%) and frutification (41.3%). The Dionisio provenance showed no statistical difference from Serra provenance, but did not show flowering. The others provenances showed very few trees with flowering and statistical difference of Serra and Dionisio provenances. The shading influence on volumetric development was statistically significant. The shading showed a strong positive effect on volumetric development in this species to this site. |
