Abstract: Infections of bovine and buffaloes female reproductive organs are the causes of several reproductive problems, disturbs like: repeat breeding, fetal envoltory retention, endometritis, metritis, cervicitis and others. In these study were evaluated the in vitro susceptibility of microorganisms isolated from cervical uterine region from bovine females and buffalo females to antibiotics. 77 bovines (Holsteins) and 87 bubaline females kept in six dairy herds in São Paulo State were studied, respectively, three of bovine dairy herds and three of bubaline. Samples of swab have been collected from the cervical uterine region, inoculated in BHI broth medium, and added with vaseline for posterior identification of aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms. The in vitro susceptibility tests to antibmicrobial agents were performed according KIRBY & BAUER diffusion test Among the bovines it was verified a higher frequency of bacteria isolation (77.9%) than in bubaline (41.4%) statistically significant difference (p < 0.05). It was not observed differences between bovine and bubaline microbiota, except for the Streptococcus sp that was isolated in a higher frequency in the bovines (25.4% in bovines and 7.9 % in buffaloes), with a statistically significant difference (P< 0.05). The highest susceptibility was observed to gentamycin, which ranged from 77.8% to 100.0%, among the herds. The opposite was observed to penicillin, which showed the highest resistance, which ranged from 11.1% to 36.4%. The susceptibility pattern showed by the strains isolated from bovine females (68.4 ± 27.8%) was higher than the susceptibility pattern showed by the strains isolated from the buffalo females (47.4 ± 31.8%) and this difference was statistically significant (test of Mann Whitney p < 0.05). The data supported that the antimicrobials must be used very carefully to avoid the increase of the resistance among the microorganism of microbiota. The objective of this research was to determine the chemical composition and ruminal degradation of the crude protein (CP), total and individual amino acids of leaves from tropical forages: perennial soybean (Neonotonia wightii), cassava (Manihot esculenta), leucaena (Leucaena leucocephala) and ramie (Boehmeria nivea), and to estimate the intestinal digestibility of the rumen undegradable protein (RUDP) and individual amino acids of leaves from the tropical forages above cited, but including pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan). Three nonlactating Holstein cows were used to determine the in situ ruminal degradability of protein and amino acids from leaves (6, 18 and 48 hours of ruminal incubation). For determination of the intestinal digestibility of RUDP, the residue from ruminal incubation of the materials was used for 18 hours. A larger concentration of total amino acids for ramie and smaller for perennial soybean were observed; however, they were very similar in leucaena and cassava. Leucine was the essential amino acid of greater concentration, with the exception of cassava, which exhibited a leucine concentration 40.45% smaller. Ramie showed 14.35 and 22.31% more lysine and methionine, respectively. The intestinal digestibility of RUDP varied from 23.56; 47.87; 23.48; 25.69 and 10.86% for leucaena, perennial soybean, cassava, ramie and pigeon pea, respectively. The individual amino acids of tropical forage disappeared in different extensions in the rumen. For the correct evaluation of those forages, one should consider their composition of amino acids, degradations and intestinal digestibility, once the amino acid composition of the forage does not reflect the amino acid profiles that arrived in the small intestine. Differences between the degradation curves of CP and amino acids indicate that degradation of amino acids cannot be estimated through the degradation curve of CP, and that amino acids are not degraded in a similar degradation profile.
