The objetive of this paper was the study of the correlation among temperature, participation and oleoresin production in tropical pines: Pinus caribaea var. bahamensis, Pinus oocarpa and Pinus kesiya at the age of 10 years, established at Piracicaba, State of Sao Paulo, Brasil. The method of oleoresin extraction based on CLEMENTS (1960) was utilized from September 1977 to September 1978. Based on results and discussion it was possible to conclude: 1. At the end of the experiment the yield of olioresin was higher for P.caribaea var. bahamensis than those of P.oocarpa and P.kesiya. The yields of these two later species were similar. 2.There was not a relationship among oleoresin production, mean temperature and precipitation under the experiment conditions. 3.Under the same conditions of this study, the oleoresin extraction could be made year around without climatic interfarences on the average oleoresin yield. |
