Present study was carried out to find out the optimum concentration and combination of IBA and NAA on rooting potential of guava stooled shoots. The experiment was conducted on cv. Sardar (Lucknow-49). Ten treatments viz. IBA (5000 ppm, 7500 ppm and 10,000 ppm), NAA (5000 ppm, 7500 ppm and 10,000 ppm) and combinations of IBA and NAA (IBA 5000 ppm + NAA 5000 ppm, IBA 7500 ppm + NAA 75000 ppm and IBA 10,000 ppm + NAA 10,000 ppm) and control (only lanolin paste) were evaluated. The findings of the present investigation revealed that different concentrations of IBA, NAA and its combination significantly increased the rooting percentage, average number of roots per shoot, average root length (cm) per shoot and per cent survival of rooted stooled shoots in field over control. The treatment IBA (7500 ppm) gave maximum rooting percentage (96.67%), average number ofroots per shoots (46.93), average root length (8.45 cm) and survival (75%) after transplanting in the field |
