Wheat blast caused by Magnaporthe oryzae is a serious restriction for wheat ( Triticum aestivum ) productionin central-southern Brazil. In the last two decades, the management of most of the wheat diseases has reliedstrongly on the application of fungicides, including strobilurins (Quinone oxidase inhibitors, QoI).Strobilurins are high-risk fungicides for the emergence of resistance in populations of plant pathogens, whichthreatens the efficacy and lifespan of QoIs. |
