Effects of Maize Dwarf Mosaic infection on symptom expression of selected sorghum varieties and breeding lines were studied. The lines and varieties differ widely in their disease reaction. There were distinct differences in response, including mottling and leaf reddening. The kafirs and most sweet sorghums generally are very susceptible to MDM, while the feterita, hegari, Martin and 7078 types generally are tolerant. |
