Rhombacus eucalypti (Acari: Eriophydae) is reported from Eucalyptus tereticornis, E. grandis and E. camaldulensis in a greenhouse in southern Brazil. Description of the species is complemented based on adults and immatures of Brazilian specimens. The protonymphs of this species are unique within the Eriophyoidea in having a pair of lateral spurlike structures on the prodorsal shield. |
