The citrus industry is one of the most competitive sectors of the global agribusiness, and the water stress is one of the main factors that negatively influence their production. Orought stress leads to accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in plant tissues and promote metabolic changes considered crucial in the response to stressors. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the parameters of growth, oxidative damage and possible changes in the activities of antioxidant enzymes, such as guaiacol peroxidase (GPX) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO), in three contrasting varieties of citrus rootstocks subjected to water deficit. |
