This will not a review, in the usual sense of word, because the subjects is much too broad to be covered in the alloted space. Almost every serious attempt to study natural or applied control in the field has involved population sampling, in one form or another, so that a complete review of samplig methods would have to cover most of the extensive literature dealing with field studies of insects. The principles of population sampling, of course, are universal and need not be reviewed here. |
