For near1ytwo decades cotton prcduction in the Brazilian Cerrado areas coexists with the boll weevil, a major pest ofthe crop. After the harvest, as food resoorces will running out, the remnants boll weevil individuais goto refuge areas in ordertowait forthe new cotton crop. /l.s point ofthe migratioo route, the crop perimeter can serve as scale fa- the insect to feed or reproduce on the latest floral structures. This study aimed to verify the boll weevil behavior in the cdton crop perimeters at the moment cf the harvest. |
