For this reason an experiment was carried out at Embrapa Beef Cattle, Campo Grande, MS, to characterize soil moisture in integrated systems with two spatial arrangements of eucalyptus trees. Experimental design was randomized block in splitplot with two replications. Plots corresponded to a 2x2 factorial, with two arrangements of eucalyptus trees (ICLF1: with 357 trees ha-1and ICLF2: with 227 trees ha-1) and two grazing heights (0.25 and 0.35 m). Split-plots correspond to sampling locations between tree rows. Soil moisture was assessed at depths of 0 to 0.2 and 0.2 to 0.4 m. There was no effect of grazing height on soil moisture. The system with higher tree density had lower soil moisture in both depths. There was no defined relation in response pattern for soil moisture in sampling sites. aBrachiaria Brizantha aEucalipto aIntegração lavoura-pecuária-floresta aPiatã1 aALMEIDA, R. G. de1 aABREU, J.
