Bonn: BMBFc1998 ap. 389-396. aThroughout the entire experimental phase of the SHIFT-colaboration of Embrapa Amazonia Ocidental (Manaus-AM) and the University of Hamburg, agrometeorological data have been monitored by a Stationary Climatological Station situated directly at the experimental site (3° 8' S, 59° 52' W). These data have been compared with the ten-year means of the Embrapa Agrometeorological Station (Manaus-AM), in a latitude of 03° 08' 05" S, 60° 01' W in an altitude of 44m above sea level. The climate of the experimental field is classified as AF according to Koppen.
