Osbeck, was carried out with (2-chloroethyl)- phosphonic acid (Ethrell) and ethylene, in fruit with color breaking on the rind. Room temperature was common for both procedures during degreening. Different applications of Ethrel were studied in the packinghouse. Ethylene dgreened fruits were then stored at 6 degree, 10 degree, 12 degree and 14 degree C. Enhancement of orange rind color could be seen as temperature increased. Waxing delayed degreening of ethrel treated fruits and development of orange color if applied after ethylene degreening to cold-stored fruits. aethephon aethylene a(2-Chloroethyl)-phosphonic acid tTokyo, Japan: International Society of Citriculture, 1983
