A lesão começa no espaço interdigital do casco levando a necrose do casco, causando problemas de locomoção, redução de pastejo e perda de peso, implicando em queda no desempenho animal, acarretando assim grandes prejuízos econômicos. Este trabalho teve como objetivo criar alternativas viáveis do ponto de vista técnico e econômico para o tratamento da pododermatite utilizando a jurema preta (Mimosa tenuiflora) em duas combinações (mel e álcool iodado) no tratamento das lesões. Foi estabelecida uma escala de valores de 0 a 3, de acordo com a menor ou maior gravidade da doença, para avaliação macroscópica da ferida. Pelos resultados experimentais constatou-se efeito da jurema preta no tratamento curativo da pododermite necrótica em ovinos, reduzindo as lesões causadas pela enfermidade em estudo, com superioridade na pasta de jurema preta com o mel.  [Valuation of action cicatrizant of jurema preta (Mimosa tenuiflora willd.) in injury for footrot in sheep]. Abstract: The pedal affections affect negatively the production and animals productivity in the systems of exploration of  sheep .The injury begins in the interdigital space of the hoof taking the necrosis of the hoof, causing problems of locomotion, reduction of grazing and loss of weight, teasing in fall in the animal performance, bringing so great economical damages. This work had how I aim to create viable alternatives of the technical and economical point of view for the treatment of footrot   using to jurema preta (Mimosa tenuiflora) in two combinations (honey and iodized alcohol) in the treatment of the injuries. From 0 to 3 was established a valuable scale, in accordance with the least or biggest gravity of the disease, for evaluation macroscopic of the wound.
