C. aSoybean seed technology and production. c1989 ap. 92. aNearly all of the soybean seed planted must be produced and marketed on an annual basis due its uncertain quality and short longevity. The production of high quality sed requires a high level of management and technical knowledge considering: environmental conditions during maturation and harvesting production itself, harvesting, processing, storage and seed quality control. Unfavorable environmental condition during seed production mainly on matration and harvesting stages may lower seed quality to unacceptable level prior to harvest. The development of cultivar whose seeds are less susceptible to environmental stress has now a high priority on soybean breeding programfor tropical and subtropical areas also the standardization of seed physiological test (vigor) techniques which associated to seed pathology evaluation will provide a useful tool to the seed industry to screen high quality seed lots for marketing purposes. aBrazil abreeding apurity astorage atechnology atetrazolium avigor aFungo aMelhoramento aProdução aPureza aQualidade aSemente aSoja aTecnologia aArmazenagem aBrasil aFungus aParana aProduction aQuality aSeed aSoybean aTest aTeste aTetrazolio tIn: CONFERENCIA MUNDIAL DE INVESTIGACION EN SOJA, 4., 1989, Buenos Aires.
