Pre-imbibiticn up to 24 hours was beneficial. Germination in heavy seed fraction was slower and increased in germination speed was apparent in both fractions as a result of presoaking. Forty eight seeds compared to 24 hours in medium seeds to obtain equivalent seedling height, lea numbers, and fresh and dry weights of aerial seedlings.
