The parasites show the cell body twisted like a corkscrew. Most of the parasites found in oil palm have 4 twists while those found in coconut have 5. The parasites were located within the sieve tubes. In heavily infected sieve tubes the parasites seem to form a "plug" which obstructs them. aelectron microscopy aPhytomonas aCocos Nucifera aElaeis Guineensis aCoconut aCoqueiro aDendezeiro aDiseases aDoencas aOil Palm aProtozoarios1 aBEZERRA, J.
