N. aComposicao floristica e fitossociologia do componente arboreo das florestas riparias da Bacia do Rio Tibagib5.Fazenda Monte Alegre, municipio de Telemaco Borba, Parana. c1996 aThe floristic composition and phytosociological structure of a riparian forest along the Tibagi river in the county of Tibagi, Parana state, Southern Brazil(24 graus 20 segundos S, 50 graus 37 segundos W) were analysed. The quadrat method was used to sample all woody vegetation with a diameter of breast height maior ou igual to 5 cm in one hectare of a hundred contiguos 100 metros quadrats. A total of 1126 individuals, 109 species, 75 genera and 38 families were recorded, and the Shannon-Weaver index was H= 3,61. The most important species were Actinostemon concolor,Inga marginata, Nectandra megapotamica, Urera baccifera, Campomanesia xanthocarpa, Cabralea canjerana, Lonchocarpus guilleminianus, Aspidosperma polyneuron and Sorocea bonplandii, and the families that presented the greatest numbers of species were Myrtaceae(13 spp),Lauraceae(10 spp),Meliaceae(9 ssp),Fabaceae(7 ssp),Mimosaceae(6 ssp) and Euphorbiaceae(5 ssp). These results sugest that this comunity is conserved in terms of floristic diversity and phytosociological structure, and the occurence of some species in associations with enviromental proprieties indicates different mature succecional degrees in the forest. aphytosociology aRiparia aFloresta aBrasil aComponente arboreo aComposicao floristica aComposition aFitossociologia aParana aRiparian florest aSouthern Brazil aTibagi river1 aSILVA, L.
