The mixtures were molded by compression at 160 °C from which the specimens for mechanical tests were prepared. The results of mechanical tests show that Young's Modulus increases sharply with zein addition, while decreases with increase in glycerol contento Tensile strength increases with zein addition especially after 50% of zein and decrease with glycerol contento Elongation at break decrease with addition of zein, however a small variation was observed in elongation for blends with more than 20% of zein.
