P. aTolerance in rice genotypes to the sugarcane borer Diatraea saccharalis (LepidopterabCrambidae).h[electronic resource] c2023 aRice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of the most important crops in the world and directly feeds more people than any other crop. The sugarcane borer, Diatraea saccharalis (Lepidoptera: Crambidae), is a pest that limits rice production in the Americas. The objectives of this study were to identify sources of tolerance to D. saccharalis in 35 rice genotypes and document changes by evaluating agronomic and physiological attributes in response to sugarcane borer damage. The rice genotypes BRS Formoso, Canela de Ferro, IAC 1278, IAC 899, IR 20, and IR 44 were shown to be tolerant to D. saccharalis. These tolerant rice genotypes could be used by rice producers as part of an integrated pest management (IPM) strategy for D. saccharalis. aIntegrated pest management aPlant pests aArroz aBroca aDiatraea Saccharalis aOryza Sativa aPraga de Planta1 aSILVA, F.
