Mostra o papel das hierarquias na prática editorial e as consequências desse preconceito para o ato de publicar de pesquisadores brasileiros. A pesquisa foi realizada desde 2019, com grupos de pesquisa cujo tema versava em torno do tema da Bioenergia, da Universidade de Brasília (UNB), da EMBRAPA Agroenergia, e da Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz (ESALQ/USP). Utilizaram-se entrevistas semiestruturadas e análises de conteúdo por meio do software de análise qualitativa NVIVO. Como resultado, os pesquisadores relatam o preconceito editorial em função da língua e da rede assimétrica de colaboração e, ao traçarem estratégias para contornar o preconceito, tendem a reforçar padrões editoriais hegemônicos do norte global. ABSTRACT - The article presents discriminatory elements of the publishing process that researchers who submit articles to international journals have identified: the role of hierarchies and the consequences of this prejudice for the Brazilians’ editorial act. Research groups on Bioenergy, from the University of Brasilia (UNB), EMBRAPA Agroenergy, and the Luiz de Queiroz School of Agriculture, of the University of São Paulo (ESALQ/USP) have been carried out this study since 2019. Semi-structured interviews and content analysis were used through the NVIVO qualitative analysis software.
