The ureides and the relative abundance of ureides of 8 soybean cultivars were examined. There were differences in ureide contents and in the relative abundance of ureides in different soybean cultivars. Young stem ureide contenets were significantly higher in the most new or high-yielding cultivars than in the oild ones. A significantly positive correlation between ureides in young stems, pod shells and the relative abundance of ureides in young stems was observed. The relative abundance of ureides in young stems was significantly positively correlated with seed protein. The correlation between young stem nitrate and seed protein was significantly negative. |
