In spite of significant scientific progress in the cryoconservation of pig's semen in recent years, fertility and farrowing rates area are still significantly low compared with insemination using refrigerated semen. Among the latest porcine cryoconservation techniques developed, the onde proposed by Thilmant (1997) deserves special attention, being simple, easy to used and showing excellent fertility results and prolificacy. The present work compared the fertility of the Iberian pigs in natural service and artificial insemination using frozen and refrigerated semen. |
