-- Abstract? The Agroforestry Systems (AFS) present several positive points regarding the preservation and maintenance of the ecosystem, which can also generate a balance in entomofauna, favoring the action of natural enemies and, thus, protecting the cultivated plant species. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the diversity indexes of the entomofauna associated with vegetables grown inside and outside of an agroforestry system, through evaluation by Moericke traps, as well as by observing the activity of predatory insects in both areas using artificial bait. The results presented in this study show that vegetables grown in Agroforestry Systems present a better diversity and equitability index of associated entomofauna when compared to vegetables grown outside the AFS. Furthermore, in cultivated vegetables in the AFS there is a higher predation rate, reaffirming the importance of plant biodiversity for entomofauna balance and for the relationship between insects and plants. Concluding, Agroforestry Systems increase entomofauna balance and improve natural biological control in the area.
