The effects of age leaf and for application of synthetic hormone on the ability to produce roots, were investigated in leaves of anihot esculenta. It was founf age of the leaf was not critical to the process, but that the application of hormone resulted in an early and profile production of roots. The anatomy of the rooted petiole was investigated and was found to differ from that of an unrootedpetiole was investigated and was found to differ from that an umrooted pestiole in three respects: in the amount of secondarily produced tissues; in the icomplete signification of the secondary xylem and in the production of adventious roots from the interfascicular regions of the basal end. |
