The objective of this work was to study the variation of the thermal and mechanical properties, varying the vulcanization time using a natural rubber blend. The blend was composed for 25% (mass) of each one of following clones: GT1, IAN 873, PB 235 and RRIM 600. The compound was formulated and then vulcanized in three different times 5, 7 and 9 minutes, leading to homogeneous and flexible plates. Compounds were analyzed by thermogravimetric analysis (TG), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and mechanical analysis (tensile tests). A small variation of the Tg na a reduction of tensile strength deformation and module was observed a function of vulcanization time. |
