French bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is one of the few crop which has highnutritional value. This crop is subjected to attack by many pathogen belonging to different group. The disease caused by Macrophomina phaseolina (Lokhande et al., 1986) and Meloidogyne incognita (Al-Hazmi, 1985) are important. The interaction of these pathogens increase the severity of the disease incidences. (Parvatha Reddy et al., 1979). The application of organic amendment was found to decrease the severity of disease. A pot trial was initiated to see the effect of organic amendment namely neem and mustard cake on M. phaseolina and M. incognita infesting French bean (P. vulgaris) revealed that the mustard cake was effective in reducing the disease incidence significantly. |
