A dispersão secundária de sementes realizada pela fauna é particularmente importante em regiões tropicais. Cerca de 90% das espécies arbóreas de florestas tropicais tem suas sementes dispersadas por animais, fator este importante na manutenção das populações de espécies vegetais. O objetivo deste estudo foi contribuir para o conhecimento sobre as relações planta/animal na dinâmica de dispersão secundária de frutos de Bertholletia excelsa. em uma floresta primária no sudeste do Estado do Acre. |
