Isozyme patterns and their genetic control in three centrosema species ar described. Seven isozymatic systems (aspartate aminotransfrase, glucose-6-phospate isomerase, phoosphocumutase, anodal peroxidase, malate dehydrogenase 6-phosphoguloconate dehydrogenase, and isocitrate dehydrogenade) were studied in 18 populations and several breeding lines of C. brasilianum and C.pubescens, using starch gel electrophosis techniques. All systems, except glucoce-6-phospate isomerase, are described for the first time in these species. A total of 17 isozyme polymorphism and variability within and between populations and species were realtively high allowed discrimination among species. |
