Accessing data from different and autonomous databases in an integrated way, allowing a infied perception of the spread information, has become a critical issue in most organizational environments. The first step towards the integration of heterogeneous information from autonomous databases derives from a well established and ascepted classification of existing schema conflicts, where behavioral conflicts are also included. The main contribution of this article is the inclusion of behavioral conflicts in a proposed taxonomy of conflicts to be applied to heterogeneous database systems. In this framework, syntactic and semantic differences and equivalencies are established, and behavioral conflicts are identified in the classification. |
