Pasture degradation is a significant challenge in livestock farming in Brazil, affecting the environmental and economic sustainability of the sector. Solutions that help manage pasture areas are crucial for Brazilian agribusiness. In this context, this work presents the application of YOLO model of Deep Learning to identify exposed soil, as well as indicators of pasture degradation, in this case, the number of termite mounds in each area. The image base used refers to pastures in Goiás and Mato Grosso. |

Asperelines, a family of linear peptides, produced by Trichoderma asperelloides, an endophytic strain from Victoria amazonica (Poepp.) J.C. Sowerby, Nymphaeaceae, are described. Fifteen asperelines with ten amino acid residues were identified by liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry in a positive acquisition mode, using high-energy collisional dissociation. Eight of these asperelines are peptaibols of the model Ac-Aib-xxx-Val-Aib-xxx-Aib-xxx-xxx-Aib-Prolinol. The other seven have the rare proline-ending sequence type: Ac-Aib-xxx-Val-Aib-xxx-Aib-Aib-xxx-Aib-Proline. Nine new asperelines were identified, together with the known asperelines A, D, E, O, U, and Z11. A chemotaxonomic significance of the findings and the name ?peptaibes? to the aspereline types ending in amino acids are suggested. The aspereline-containing fraction showed a marginal activity against Streptococcus mutans and Staphylococcus aureus. This fraction also presented high activity against the pathogenic bacteria Listeria monocytogenes, as well as a low mortality against VERO-type cells. |
