Main objective of the investigations was to construct and to assess a solar rubber dryer with integrated biomass furnece as a source of supplementary heat during the absence of solar radiation. Specific objectives include: 1. Investigation of the weather conditions and air flow variation on the drying behaviour of rubber sheets. 2. Studying the effects of partly recirculating drying air on drying capacity. 3. Investigation of the management procedure of the biomass furnace in order to minimize fire wood consumption. 4. Evaluation of the quality of the dried rubber according to international market standards. |
