To exploit the existence of microarray data obtained from cattle exposed to the tick Riphicephalus (Boophilus) microplus at GEO repository, our study used a co-expression based analysis in searching for genes that may be involved in the bovine-tick resistance mechanism. Samples of a bovine microarray data set were used, comparing co-expressed genes present in tick-resistant (TR) and susceptible (TS) genotype (Brahman and Holstein strains, respectively). Raw data (cel ?les) were downloaded and processed using the Affy, a BioConductor software package, developed for the R programm. |
