The twenty seventh (ISWYN) was distributed in 1990. The entries in this nursery, together with their countries of origin, are presented in table 1, and include 48 bread wheats, one durum wheat, and one local check selected by the individual cooperator. Except for the local check, all entries were previously evaluated in the high-yielding environment of the CIANO Experiment Station in the Yaqui Valley of northwestern Mexico. Seed for this nursery was multiplied at the Hermosillo Experiment Station in northwestern Mexico. The seed was cleaned and treated with a mixture of Daconil and Vitavax before shipment. A randomized complete block design with three replicates and plots of six 3-m rows sown 30 cm apart were recommended. |
