The objective of this study was to determine the crop coefficient of wheat and the ideal moment for irrigation, based on the soil water depletion rate (f). The study was carried out in the tropics, on an Oxisoil (Typic Haplustox), in an experimental field of Embrapa Cerrados in Planaltina, Federal District of Brazil. The experimental design consisted of randomized blocks with three replications. The results indicated a soil water depletion index of 0.4 as the best indicator for beginning wheat irrigation. |
