The nim extract appears now as an alternative to the pesticides use in the control of agricultutal curses for your repellent efect, of impact and contact, seeking to minimize the aggressions to the environment. The Jataí (Tetragonisca angustula Latreille) it is a small meliponídeo of shy and inoffensive characteristic responsible for the pollination of a lot species of plants of agricultural and forest importance, whose colonies are constituted by a queen, drones and workers which carry out several functions in the nest, how clean and build structures of the nest, to nurture the youngest individuals, promote ventilation inside the nest, protect the colony and collect food in the field. Toxicology studies and selectivity pesticide to the beneficial insects (Pollinators, natual enemies) they have been constituting an important demand of the agribusiness, tends in view to growing ecological conscience of the society and the demands of the consuming markets for safe victuals. In this context, it was looked for to evaluated the efect of the nim extract (Azadirachta indica Ajuss) on bee workers Jataí (T. angustula), being compared with the efect of a piretroid inseticide in commercial level. The nim extract presentd the same toxicity index that the piretroid insecticide, in the period of evaluation of 24 hours. |
