The yellow passionfruit (Passiflora edulis Sims var. flavicarpa Degener) is an important commercial crop in Fiji. This year trials covering 2 ha will be laid down at the Sigatoka Research Station to study control measures for collar rot, fertilizer needs of the vine and forms of trellising, plant spacing and other factors affecting yield. This paper reviews the recent literature on the agronomy of the yellow passionfruit to assist with the definition of an effective research programme for the Department of Agriculture. |
