Capítulo 4. |
Conteúdo: |
In the process of coevolution of plants and pathogens, plants developed the ability to recognize the pathogen?s molecular and effector patterns, activating an elaborate defense response. Similarly, pathogens have developed strategies against plant defense mechanisms, with complex evolutionary dynamics in plant-pathogen interaction. The first is named pathogenassociated molecular pattern-triggered immunity (PTI) and the second, effector-triggered immunity (ETI) that could result in the ultimate development of systemic aquired resistance (SAR). |
